The Back 2 School Initiative for Kids in Delta is dedicated to ensuring that every student in Delta School District 37 has an equal opportunity to excel academically, regardless of their financial circumstances or ethnic diversity. Our non-profit organization, in collaboration with CEREBRUM Marketing Group and Delta School District 37, has developed comprehensive programs aimed at providing essential resources and support to students in need. These initiatives encompass many opportunities beyond academics, fostering an environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
In this document, we proudly present the features of our programs, highlighting their positive impact on students’ academic performance and overall well-being, along with real-world examples of their successful implementation.
Tutoring and Academic Support
Our “Student Success Network (SSNP)” program provides free tutoring and academic support to struggling students. Through peer tutoring sessions held after school hours, we will not only improve the academic performance of these students but also fostered a supportive and nurturing learning environment, strengthening bonds within the student community.
School Supplies Assistance
Through our “Community Classroom Connect (CCCP)” program, we partner with local businesses and community members to collect and distribute school supplies to underprivileged students. By removing financial barriers, this initiative ensures that all students have the tools they need to succeed academically, increasing their engagement and participation in class activities.
Breakfast and Lunch Programs
Proper nutrition plays a crucial role in a student’s ability to focus and learn effectively. Our “Nourish 2 Thrive Program (N2TP)” program provides free breakfast and lunch to students from low-income families, resulting in increased attendance rates, improved overall well-being, and enhanced academic performance.
Mental Health Support
The “Embracing Balance (EBP)” program offers counseling services, workshops, and peer support groups to address mental health challenges among students. Through this program, students have developed coping strategies, leading to reduced stress and anxiety levels and creating a more positive learning atmosphere.
After-School Programs
Our “Afterschool Odyssey (AOP)” program offers enrichment activities such as sports, arts, and STEM workshops, providing a safe and engaging environment for students. Participants have shown improved confidence and teamwork skills, positively impacting their academic and personal development.
Technology Assistance
In the digital age, access to technology is essential for completing assignments and conducting research. The “TechEquity (TEP)” program equips schools with computer labs and provides laptops and internet access to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, promoting digital literacy and enhancing academic performance.
College and Career Readiness
The “Journey 2 Achieve (J2AP)” program organizes college fairs, career workshops, and mentorship opportunities, guiding students through the application process and helping them make informed decisions about their future.
Financial Literacy Education
The “Money Mastery (MMP)” program conducts financial literacy workshops, teaching students essential skills in budgeting, saving, and managing money responsibly. This knowledge empowers students to make informed financial decisions and break the cycle of financial hardship, setting them on a path to financial independence.
Transportation Support
Our “Ride 2 Learn (R2LP)” program provides transportation assistance to ensure that students can attend classes regularly and participate fully in their education, resulting in improved attendance and academic performance.
Clothing and Uniform Assistance
The “Wear 2 Win (W2WP)” initiative organizes clothing drives and partnerships with local businesses to provide school uniforms or appropriate clothing for students in need, promoting a sense of belonging and confidence.
Summer Learning Programs
Our “Knowledge Navigator (KNP)” program combats learning loss during breaks by offering workshops, field trips, and reading challenges, ensuring that students return to school with enhanced knowledge and motivation.
Community Partnerships
We collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and charities through our “Community Alliance (ACP)” program, enhancing the effectiveness of hardship programs. For example, we partner with local businesses to provide internship opportunities for high school students, giving them real-world experience and career insights.
Family Engagement Programs
Our “Family 2 Education Bridge (F2EBP)” program offers workshops and resources for parents and guardians to actively participate in their children’s education, resulting in improved academic outcomes and a stronger bond between families and schools.
